Graciana Tureck, also known as “Gracie,” is this week’s Life Church MVP! Gracie has been serving on the Greeter Team @ Life Church for nearly 2 years. Starting to serve faithfully in September of 2011, she has recently begun leading the greeters with her caring heart and sharp mind for hospitality. She does a fantastic job of contacting her team and making sure the greeters are fully staffed to welcome EVERYONE who enters the Life Church doors. Gracie is a HUGE part of why Life Church is such a welcoming place!
We asked Gracie a few questions about greeting at Life Church, and we loved her answers so much that we wanted to share the whole thing!
What do you love about the greeters team?
There are many things that I love about the Greeters Team, but what I love most is that everything we give, we receive back. Every smile and hug that we give, we get another one in exchange. The Joy of the Body of Christ is just so contagious and inspiring.
Why would you encourage others to get involved?
The Greeter Team is a great place to get out of your comfort zone and to be intentional on building relationships – which is what makes the church. Any person who wants to make the Lord’s face shine upon him/her should get involved.
What motivates you to serve?
My passion and love for God. The Greeter Team is the perfect place to demonstrate the love and the light that He has imparted over me. I simply love making my brothers ans sisters being welcome at the Father’s house.
We are so thankful for you Graciana Tureck! Thank you for being a HUGE part of our team!
We are very excited to honor Paul & Brenda Scoggins as our latest Life Church MVPs. Both Paul & Brenda have been serving on the Life Church team for 22 years! They have been attending the church since 1991. They now serve as elders and are a vital part of the ministry at Life Church.
We are thankful for their ability and willingness to disciple others. They have helped so many overcome their hurts and hangups to experience the life that is found with Jesus. God has used both of them countless times in our services to bring prophetic words that stir faith and edify the body of Life Church.
Paul & Brenda are great examples of allowing God to lead in their personal lives, as well. Having just celebrated their 49th anniversary, they are a living testimony of achievement and commitment.
We asked them what they love about Life Church:
“We love the freedom and intimacy of the Holy Spirit; that He is able to do what He wants to do in our lives and services. We love the worship that exalts Him and ushers in the glory of His Presence. We love the people that He has connected us with to walk out His call on our lives.”
We are so thankful for you Paul & Brenda! We love and honor you for you are and all that you. Thank you for being a HUGE part of our team!

This is OUR team!
Our weekly Life Church MVPs are Erik and Marcy Shaw! Both Eric and Marcy serve on the team impacting the younger generations of Life Church. From teaching our children to ensuring that every child has an encounter with God, Erik and Marcy are so passionate about what they do.
Their passion for your children, has led the members of God’s Army to a very real knowledge of God and His presence. PASSION is what drives this week’s MVPs.
We are so thankful for you Erik and Marcy! Thank you for being a HUGE part of our team!
Life Church’s weekly MVPs are Chuck and Wendie Thompson!
Wendie oversees the “Kingdom Kids” pre-school ministry and Chuck serves on the usher team. This couple is so diligent week in and week out and are so valuable to the teams that theyserve on. We thank you, Chuck and Wendie, for the time you put in to minister to our kids, teaching them the love of Jesus from a young age, and to serve their parents and our congregation with excellence.
If you see them around, join us in thanking them this week. Thank you for being a huge part of our TEAM!
At Life Church we value team ministry and believe we have one of the greatest teams of people. So many people make huge contributions to our team by serving in various areas of ministry. From nursery to youth and greeting to worship, no contribution goes unnoticed and every role that is filled is so critical to what we do. MVP stands for “most valuable player” because we want to celebrate those who serve. We are so grateful for the diligence these people display, in order to make a difference week in and week out at Life Church. We know that your offering of time and energy, often comes at a cost to you so this is our small way of giving back and saying, “Thanks!”
This is OUR team and we are proud to show it off!
